Wow.. it has been way too long.. I have been working at my new job since last October.. Love it.. it keeps me sane.. my drawing has suffered for it.. but.. have to pay the bills..!!
Live is still a bit crazy.. Picked up a commission.. for 14 religious based themes... will be posting them soon..

Well.. no work for the summer.. it is awesome to be with the boys.. but... the money... well... just isn't any.. Have been hard working trying to find a better paying job.. but dang.. what a nightmare!!!
I love my job.. but just cannot live on it!!
Been busy drawing.. still drawing the obscure celebrities and drawing a few commissions now and then..
The children book was publishd.. but the publisher was of no use... NO marketing... NO help...
But... it is complete..
I did illustration for a few other books.. but the authors are struggling to find a publisher.. that are not hacks!!

Well off to relax...!!

FINALLY!!! after 5 months of redos, redraws, and pulling my hair out!! My first illustrated book will be released!!! It had a projected date of June 10th, but the author has been in rewrite!! But, final edit was last week. She also needed a drawing of a whale! (which I finished on an all nighter)It will be a story of a girl starting school, who is teased due to her being overweight!
The title is 'Beluga'.. as in the Whale!!
I am hoping it does well. I have been introduced to other publishers and a few other writers, so hopefully, one day, I can quit my day job!!
Yeah right!!!
I am also in the works to draw a presidential children's book and a fantasy/viking type childrens' book.. (this one will be fun)
I will be a busy gal.. all kinds of things going out, but nothing coming in..
But, isn't that the life of an artist/writer/musician, etc.!!

I am off work for the summer... (teacher's aide)
Hubby, is working, but not full-time.. So as you can guess.. I am also filling out applications all over trying to find a job for MONEY!! to get my through the next 2 months!

Sometimes, I think I am at my tether.. but another door opens...
As Long as it doesn't get slammed in my face!! HAHAHAH!!

Wow.. it has been that long since I posted a journal entry... Time flies when you are a busy, busy, mom, wife, teacher, artist..and soon to be published illustrator!!! yeah... hard to believe.. and holding my breath..
I have been working on a children's book. Over 50 drawings for the past 5 months.
Keep all the good thoughts coming my way!!!
The present release date is June 10th.. Will be available at Amazon, Books-a-million.. etc.. Will post when and where!
I am NOT counting my chickens before they are hatched.. Because a lot can happen between now and then!!
Having major celebrity portrait withdrawal.. so you may see more in the next few weeks!!
Hubby, is kind of back to work.. Has started with the Postal Service here and only working part time.. but they are keeping him busy!
But, summer is coming... and off work for 3 months.. so on top of everything else.. submitting my resume all over trying to find more work.. Sleep is overrated!!! Looks like Tennessee is in for some bad storms today.. So need to shut down my computer!! Thanks for all the support!!!

Wow.. it has been way too long since I posted in my journal.. Been a very busy gal in the past 4 months.. I had been working 2 jobs.. just about killed me.. Hubby has been laid off work since May 31st.. and still no job on the horizon! Both of my young boys have had an expenses. Oldest broke his arm and dental work.. and youngest has been tormented with horrible dental surgery ... that could not get done.. after all the tormenting.. I hope no one does not take too much offense.. but I  HATE the Dental Industry right now!
Hate is a strong word.. but crimeny.. the cost is out of this world.. Not to mention the inconsistencies among dentists....!I have dental insurance but it is still outrageous. OK.. I am not going to say anymore.. As a result of working too much.. My art has suffered. I am planning to draw non stop the next few days. (Fall Break)So I do not lose what clients I do have. I have 2 commissions to finish.. then off to draw for the pure enjoyment. Hope everyone is well and god bless!!
